After breakfast explore " La Selva " Biological Station. With 12000 acres of virgin rainforest, this spectacular preserve will give us the perfect introduction to the tropical rainforest. Vibrant rainforest creatures are there to be seen.

After breakfast, we continue to Puerto Viejo, located on Costa Rica's stunning Caribbean coast. Explore the tropical rainforests, relax on white-sand beaches, and immerse yourself in the colorful local culture.

After breakfast, we will go to Cahuita National Park, one of Costa Rica's hidden gems! Explore lush rainforests teeming with wildlife, including monkeys, sloths, and vibrant tropical birds. Wander along stunning coastal trails, where white-sand beaches meet crystal-clear waters, perfect for snorkeling and discovering colorful coral reefs.

Whether you're hiking through the jungle or relaxing on the beach, Cahuita offers an unforgettable connection to nature.

Immerse Yourself in the Bribri Indigenous Community:

Our journey takes us to the heart of the Watsi community, located within the Bribri Indigenous Reserve. Here, you’ll have the unique opportunity to engage with Bribri families and learn about their deep connection to nature and tradition.
We’ll visit a medicinal garden, where one of the families will share their knowledge of healing plants and natural remedies. You’ll hear captivating stories about their culture and witness the traditional process of making chocolate—from cacao harvesting, drying, and roasting, to the final product, ground by hand on a stone, using ancient methods passed down through generations.

Accompanied by an expert guide, we'll continue our adventure along scenic trails in the Talamanca Mountains, leading us to a stunning waterfall, where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in crystal-clear waters.

After a day filled with meaningful interactions and natural beauty, we’ll return to our lodge.

We are drive to Pavona 2 hours aprox, to embark on an Unforgettable Journey to Tortuguero National Park.
This morning, we set off early to reach the lush lowlands in time for a scenic boat ride to Tortuguero National Park—one of Costa Rica’s largest and most important natural sanctuaries. Tortuguero is renowned as the premier nesting site for green sea turtles in the Western Hemisphere. Our two-hour boat ride will take us deep into the park’s flooded forests, gliding through one of the most intricate canal systems in the country, reminiscent of the Amazon’s verdant wilderness.

Morning exploration of the Tortuguero Canals, often described as the Venice of the Rain Forest. It is one of the best chances in our tour to enjoy this Amazonian flooded forest type, hard to find anywhere else in Central America. With a profusion of life diversity Tortuguero is also one of the best places for wild life viewing.

After an early dinner, prepare yourself for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: our guided turtle expedition along the secluded beaches of Tortuguero. For the next two hours, we’ll walk under the stars, observing strict guidelines to protect these magnificent creatures. Flashlights are forbidden, and only a red light may be used under special circumstances. As we quietly stroll along the shore, our expert turtle guide will illuminate the awe-inspiring moment when a sea turtle lays her eggs—a sight you’ll never forget.

For this magical adventure, remember to wear dark clothing to ensure we remain invisible to the turtles as we witness this ancient, incredible ritual of nature.

Morning exploration of the Southern sector of the park, the area, not frequently visited by tourist offers great chances of wildlife harder to find in the tourist section of the park. With luck we could see a Jaguar crossing the river to the beach side in search of a Green Turtle for dinner. The area is also good for Manatee and Crocodiles.

This morning we will relax at the hotel, pack up, and say a fond farewell to the beauty and wonder of Costa Rica’s golden Caribbean coast. After breakfast, we’ll start the drive back to San José and the Hotel Buena Vista (about 6 and a half hours). We’ll certainly have a lot of recently made memories to talk about on the way home!
