We protect Nature
Geo Natura Tours (GNT) owns a private forest preserve along the Jamaical River in the eastern watershed of Costa Rica near the Arenal Volcano.
Within its 300 acres of pristine woodlands known as “El Jamaical” Forest Preserve GNT has also established the Jamaical Biological Field Station which is dedicated to the study of a wide variety of research projects investigating tropical rain forest ecology.
This private conservation effort is also instrumental in preserving such charismatic species as the Bare-necked Umbrellabird, the Ornate Hawk-Eagle and the Three-wattled Bellbird – just to mention just a few.

About us
Gustavo Orozco was born and raised in Costa Rica, Katherine Peña grew up in Colombia. While their home base is their research station in central Costa Rica, they have both traveled extensively in Colombia, Ecuador and Panama. Both have decades of experience in organizing and conducting tours that meet the highest standards of the travel market. Gustavo has 30 years of experience in the study of tropical birds, and their natural habitats. Both Gustavo and Katherine bring with them the highest quality of optics and photography to better share the view of the natural world with their clients.
